Our future missionary
There is nothing cuter than a baby dressed like a miniature adult with a gigantic binkie stuck in his mouth. I find I don't need to buy a lot of clothes for Tanner these days because we get so many cute hand-me-downs from his cousins. But, I just couldn't resist when I ran across this little number the other day. I would save it for Easter but I want to get the most out of it. I didn't find out until after I got it home that it is dry-clean only. Isn't that silly? Who makes dry-clean only baby clothes? And Tanner is kind of a spitty little guy. He made sure to break it in with a little spit up right before we left for church. Oh well, I buy almost all our clothes on sale so this is my splurge.
Natalie was also looking exceptionally cute on Sunday. We cracked open the next box of Sydney's old baby clothes for her. Lots of cute dresses for the upcoming season. She's very excited about it.
Sydney wanted to be included in the photo shoot but she was not dressed for church yet. She did her own hair though so she could match Natalie. Natalie is giving us the evil eye in this picture.

Getting Out
Last week we were able to get out quite a bit more than usual. The weather got a little warmer there for a bit which was so nice. I like our house very much but the kids and I are all getting a little stir crazy what with this incredibly snowy winter this year. On Monday, my mom helped me take them to the Discovery children's museum at the gateway mall. Tanner and Natalie are free for 3 more months until they turn one so I thought we should take advantage of that. It's a little pricey to get in but Sydney had a ton of fun. Her very favorite thing is the helicopter. We found a little station where you can talk into a microphone and pretend to be a DJ on the radio with background music and stuff. I told Sydney to sing into it and in her loudest singing voice she starts, "Listen to the still small voice! Listen, listen! When you have to make a choice he will guide you! Always!" It's her favorite primary song.

My mom phrase
"Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do." I feel like I've been saying this a lot lately. It's becoming my "mom phrase." You know, the phrase you say all the time and then later on your kids will say it and go "aahh! I sound just like my mother!" I don't recall my mom ever saying this to me, so I must have come up with it all on my own. It might have something to do with a certain 3-year-old who's favorite phrase is "but I don't waaaaaaant to." I find myself sounding just like my mom from time to time, but I don't mind so much because if I ended up being just like my mom it would be a pretty good thing. And Sydney talks all the time about how she wants to be a mom when she grows up, so maybe when finds herself using my mom phrase she'll say, "yay! I sound just like my mother!"
